Jose Vasquez

José Vásquez is currently the President of St. Anthony School.  A parish based Catholic school serving children from two years old through high school in a five-campus environment in south side Milwaukee.  José’s affiliation with the Catholic Church extends as far back when he was a seminarian for the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas.  He obtained his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.  He had the honor of serving as President of the three ministries of the Felician Sisters in Milwaukee, Child Development Center of St. Joseph, now St. Joseph Academy, Villa St. Francis and St. Francis Foundation.  José also served as a Trustee to St. Francis Seminary of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and on the lay advisory committee of the National Organization for the Continuing Education of Roman Catholic Clergy (NOCERCC).

José has also an extensive background in holding leadership positions in educational settings.  He served as educational administrator at Waukesha County Technical College and district director for the University of Wisconsin -Extension/Cooperative Education.  He has opened and expanded day care centers and opened an elementary school. 

José has public sector experience serving as Assistant Director for the Department of Health and Human Services for Milwaukee County.  He also has severed in senior management position in non-profits organizations such as Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, Next Door Foundation and La Casa de Esperanza in Waukesha.

In addition to his administrative positions José has also serve on governing boards such as the Milwaukee Area Technical College board of directors, the Wisconsin Technical College System board of directors and as a Regent to the University of Wisconsin System.
