Happy May-cember!
Similar to December, May certainly feels like a month to survive some years. Between graduations, confirmations, ordinations, weddings, and first communions, there is so much to celebrate and so much to do!
One thing we are celebrating is the addition of my wife, Beth, to our Marriage & Family team! She will be taking over things like FOCCUS and Prepare/Enrich support, Marriage Preparation retreats, Witness to Love, and more. Don't hesitate to contact her for anything you need at ulaszekb@archmil.org or (414) 758-2226.
Please know that all of us are here to support you in all your work. Do not hesitate to contact us with questions and needs!
In Christ,
Doug

Hi there, I am Beth Ulaszek, the new Marriage Prep Coordinator. I am coming from 10 years in the same role for the Diocese of Madison. I have experienced the immense goodness, truth and beauty that strong marriages and families bring to the world as well as the chaos, confusion and pain that erupts from the breakdown of the family. I am motivated by Sr. Lucia's words, "a time will come when the decisive battle between the kingdom of Christ and Satan will be over marriage and the family...do not be afraid, because Our Lady has already crushed his head." Some of my favorite things include watching our 6 children learn and grow, reading, cooking, and gardening.

We recently wrote an article for our Catholic Herald with tips for families to avoid the "summer slide" of faith this year. Check it out and pass it along to your families to help them grow in faith over these summer months!

Beacons of Hope: 3 Days of Inspiration and Formation
Join us as we kick off the new catechetical year with three meaningful days of formation, networking, and prayer.
August 21-22 (Thursday & Friday): For Parish Catechetical Staff
These two core days include keynotes from Julianne Stanz, Mass with Archbishop Jeffrey Grob (Friday), office updates, workshops, and time to connect with colleagues and exhibitors. All parish catechetical staff across ministries are encouraged to attend.
August 23 (Saturday): Formation for Leaders & Catechists
This day is for catechists, team leaders, and volunteers. Enjoy keynote talks and workshop tracks for children's, youth, and adult ministry at both introductory and advanced levels. Saturday workshops will be offered in Spanish and English.
Be inspired, equipped, and connected - we look forward to seeing you!
