All descriptors are referencing only those students who qualify for participation in the Special Needs Scholarship Program at St. Eugene School.

• Read and review all documentation, evaluations, Accommodation Plans and past records for students.
• Create a Student Service Plan for each student that includes details of the type of intervention, goals for the current trimester, assessments used, and frequency and duration of intervention.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with parents of each student to share the Student Service Plan; discuss the details and reach consensus with parents as to the services we are able to provide.
• Working with teachers, create an intervention schedule that meets the needs of the student and accommodates the class schedule.
• If applicable, ensure that the student’s Accommodation Plan is followed, especially in regards to assessments.
• Diagnose, assess, prescribe, and evaluate the reading or math needs of individual students.
• Provide research based intervention that is targeted towards the areas in which a student needs support.
• Adapt curriculum materials from the student’s classes to meet the individual needs of the student.
• Utilize progress monitoring tools to frequently assess student progress.
• Write progress reports for each trimester, based on the stated goals.
• Attend Parent Teacher Conferences twice a year.
• Communicate, as needed, with classroom teachers and the Director of Learning Support.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and emotional growth
