Video #12: August 4, 2019: Who is St. John Vianney?

Show me the way to Ars, and I'll show you the way to heaven.

St. John Vianney, a French priest in the town of Ars, achieves his childhood dream of becoming a priest in the early 1800s. Although not academically gifted, St. John had the gift of reading hearts and was a tremendous confessor to thousands of penitents. Spending countless hours in the confessional, St. John was affectionately known as the Curè d’Ars.

How do you respond to God's call to sacrifice your time and serve others? Fr. Tony Zimmer and Alan McCauley reflect on how we can learn from the pious love and devotion of St. John Vianney.

Join Alan McCauley, local saint expert and theology educator, and Fr. Tony Zimmer of St. Anthony on the Lake in Pewaukee. Together, they’ll explore the beloved Curè d’Ars, St. John Vianney.
