2024 Annual Priest Retreat

Join your brother priests for a few days of silence, prayer, reflection and relaxation at our annual priest retreat. This year’s retreat will be directed by Father Joseph Dacacche. Father Joseph is a Maronite priest serving in the Archdiocese as pastor at St. Sharbel Maronite Mission in Sturtevant and also assists at the four KR County Line Latin rite parishes in Kenosha County.
Of note, Father will offer a Maronite rite liturgy for one of the Masses, offering a unique opportunity to worship in an Eastern rite liturgy. All other Masses will be Latin rite. Priest who wish to concelebrate may do so in the Latin rite Masses. There will be no concelebration for the Maronite rite liturgy. Adoration will also be offered during the retreat. More details will follow.
The retreat will follow a schedule and format similar to past retreats with retreatants arriving on Monday afternoon prior to the evening meal and departing on Thursday after the noon meal. The retreat center will handle all reservations, special dietary and room requests for active priests. Senior priests will make their reservations by contacting Nancy Kerns at 414-769-3594. All reservations must be completed prior to September 23, 2024.

Biography of Father Joe Daccache
Born in March 24, 1984, Fr. Joe Daccache is a Maronite Catholic priest who belongs to the Archdiocese of Beirut – Lebanon. He was ordained priest in Saint George’s Cathedral, Beirut, on May 30, 2009. On December 2021, he has been appointed by the Maronite Bishop of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles, His Excellency Elias A. Zaidan, as Pastor of Saint Sharbel Maronite Mission of Milwaukee who is taking Saint John the Baptist Church in Paris, WI, as home. Fr. Joe has been also appointed in July 2022 by Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki, as an assisting priest to the KR County Line Catholic parishes (a cluster of 4 churches in and around the Union Grove area).
Prior to this, he served as Rector (head of school) of Sagesse High School (pre-k to 12 Lebanese American school) in Ain Saade- Lebanon from 2019 to 2021. Fr. Daccache spent before that six years in the USA as Administrator of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Simi Valley – California, and as a graduate student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Fr. Daccache has many years of experience in teaching and counseling at Sagesse High School, as well as in school administration at St. Rose of Lima Elementary school – Simi Valley (2013-2016) and other schools in Los Angeles and Orange counties where he completed his internship.
Fr. Joe Daccache holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the Lebanese University – Fanar (Lebanon), a Master of Divinity degree in Theology from the University of The Holy Spirit - Kaslik (Lebanon), a Master’s degree in Catholic School Leadership and Administration as well as an Educational Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) – Los Angeles.
Fr. Daccache’s highest skills are listening and strategy and is told to be a visionary leader. He is drawn to science, technology as well as to philosophy and the Bible. He appreciates his Catholic faith, his eastern Maronite rite, and diversity. He loves to pray, teach and meet new people as well as to discover new countries and cultures.
