Education and/or Experience:

Position requires a high school diploma or a GED and one to three years of experience in a building and grounds maintenance role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Effective oral communication skills are essential. Knowledge of OSHA regulations is required. Must be able to operate power tools and essential maintenance equipment. Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at the same time. PC experience and the ability to use email is required. Incumbent must be able to prioritize tasks. Must be able to complete many tasks with differing deadlines. Incumbent will be on call for emergencies as necessary. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Incumbent should be able to work effectively with diverse populations. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required, and insurability is required.

Physical Demands: 

No protective clothing or accessories is required on a regular basis; however, occasionally, safety glasses and ear plugs are required. Uniforms are required.

The employee must occasionally lift to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: 

The work takes place primarily outside where there is exposure to machinery and outside elements with moderate noise.
