Description
Pius XI Catholic High School is seeking a Math Interventionist who will provide specialized instruction in mathematics to help students meet growth objectives. They will work closely with the math department and Dean of Instruction to implement student success support programs in mathematics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Math Interventionist:

Support students in assigned math intervention courses using STAR data and math class performance to inform instructional moves.

Provide small group and individualized instruction to students in a 5:1 teacher to student ratio to close gaps in learning and help students keep up with current math courses

Communicate regularly with concerned teachers and parents about the progress of each student

Use ALEKS to assign and track additional support work for students outside of intervention meeting time

Support student success in math courses through individual relationships and social emotional support. This includes, but may not be limited to visiting their math courses to provide support as needed

Track current topics being taught in relevant math courses

Participate in all math department meetings
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Must be able to use test data and teacher reports of class performance to design small group and individualized intervention for students

Working knowledge of Renaissance STAR, Skyward and Schoology

Demonstrated success with student interventions

Working knowledge of Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2
