Position Overview:
St. Katharine Drexel School is seeking a 60% time music teacher, fully licensed, (or able to work toward obtaining certification), to teach Music K3-5, Chorus & Music Enrichment. Piano is the preferred instrument. Additionally, this instructor would be responsible to accompany for school liturgies and liturgy practice.
However, depending on the skills of other hires and the skills of the individual hired for this position, it is possible the 60% position could be increased to a larger amount of time.
- A WI-licensed educator with a love of music education
- A person willing to share his or her love of learning with students in 4K-8th grade.
- Someone with excellent classroom management
- A person who works well with colleagues, administration, and parents.
- A person who will share information via email, phone, online programs, etc.
- A practicing Catholic is preferred, but not required for this position.
Duties and Resonsibilities:
- Teaches assigned subjects: Vocal Music 3K-5, Chorus 6-8
- Responsible for directing the Christmas Program, and Spring Vocal Concert
- Provides musical accompaniment for Mass and other assemblies
