The physical education teacher will motivate students to become lifelong, active and healthy individuals through physical activity.  Skills taught should center on teamwork as well as building individual skills which can transfer to physical activity outside of the school setting. 

The position requires that the applicant plan and implement lessons for the children.   Creating an atmosphere which fosters creativity, interactive learning, self-awareness and the ability to work and play well with others is essential.   Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with other members of the faculty and staff are necessary.  Excellent communication skills are most important as all Saint Jude teachers serve as knowledgeable, positive and inviting individuals, both to parents and prospective families.
