The primary role of the Principal will be to
* Represent, understand, implement, and commit to the St. Matthew mission and philosophy
* Ensure academic and program quality by implementing goals/policies for accreditation
* Research and determine value of curriculum methodology and learning formats
* Assess students’ ongoing religious, academic, social, physical, and emotional growth
* Develop, recommend, and implement policies and guidelines in Parent/Student Handbook
* Apply disciplinary procedures consistent with the school’s Code of Ethical Conduct
* Communicate with parents, create school calendar and website, contribute to parish bulletin
* Provide purposeful and intentional professional development opportunities
* Conduct evaluations, complete observations, and create improvement plans
* Foster collaboration with parish families, parish staff, organizations, and diocesan offices
* Manage school personnel, budget, grants, tuition, fundraisers, alumni donations
* Direct volunteers/designees on athletics, co-curricular programming, and related activities
* Coordinate transportation, extended care, substitute staff schedules, and food service needs
* Build upon and maintain rapport with various Choice, state, and federal entities
Qualifications
Required
* Current administrative license issued by the State of Wisconsin
* Master’s degree in Education and/or Administration
* Supervisory experience in a school setting
* Practicing Catholic
* Adherence to Code of Ethical Conduct
* Satisfactory background check
* Completion of Safe Environment training prior to employment
Preferred but not required
* Previous teaching experience in a Catholic school
* Foundational Catechetical Certification
* High-level working knowledge and implementation of relevant technology
