The School Counselor possesses the necessary certifications, knowledge, skills, and dispositions to challenge all students to develop their God-given talents and achieve their highest potential and works collaboratively with staff to develop a professional learning community, and take part in professional activities and ongoing learning. The licensed school counselor’s role is to provide counseling, support, and collaboration with other school staff members, and to assist children in becoming effective students while interacting appropriately in school, home and community. The School Counselor is accountable to the principal and will help to implement the St. Katharine Drexel School Philosophy, to follow the policies of the Archdiocese and the St. Katharine Drexel School Advisory Committee, and to adhere to the directives set by the school administration.
