Social Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year

We are seeking an innovative candidate who excels in developing interdisciplinary and culturally diverse curriculum rooted in robust content knowledge. Prioritizing student academic success, they will collaborate effectively with colleagues and demonstrate a positive attitude, embracing continuous professional growth as a reflective practitioner. The qualified candidate would teach Economics, US History, and Foundations of Government.

Qualifications

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college/university;

  • Appropriate certification by the Wisconsin DPI – preferred in areas of Social Sciences including Broad Field Social Studies (1701), History (1725), Political Science (1735)

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with colleagues, particularly on the departmental level and in professional learning communities;

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with parents/guardians and colleagues;

  • A desire for continuous improvement;

  • Experience with educational technology tools;

  • Willingness and desire to become involved in the wider school community through club moderation, coaching, etc;

  • Support of the mission, values, and vision of the future of Pius XI Catholic High School.
