Video #8: December 6, 2018: Who is St. Nicholas?

Jolly Old St. Nicholas, lean your ear this way … learn about the saint behind the tradition.

St. Nicholas makes “Peace on earth, and good will toward all” a reality, and goes way beyond stockings and candy. He is referred to as the world’s first “Secret Santa,” performing random acts of kindness just for the sake of being generous, kind and compassionate.

What symbols do you associate to the Feast of St. Nicholas? What stocking stuffer traditions do you hold dear? For Fr. Tony, he remembers chocolate, fruit … and a tube of Clearasil? Take five minutes to have some fun learning about St. Nicholas with hosts Alan McCauley and Fr. Tony Zimmer.

Join Alan McCauley, local saint expert and theology educator, and Fr. Tony Zimmer of St. Anthony on the Lake in Pewaukee. Together, they’ll explore the story behind St. Nicholas.
