The Office for Planning and Councils assists and supports pastors, parish directors, staffs, pastoral councils, committee and other parish leaders in their roles to carry out the mission of Christ to the world. Areas of support include, but are not limited to, consultative services, data dissemination, workshops, training, manuals, and newsletters.
Comprised of representatives from throughout the ten counties of the archdiocese, the APC meets regularly with the Archbishop to consult on matters related to pastoral activity and the mission of the Church in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Training and resources are provided for new members, officers, and trustees who serve on parish and cluster councils.
In collaboration with the Office for Continuing Education of Clergy and other Archdiocesan Offices, ongoing formation opportunities and individual consultation is available to parish or cluster staffs.
The Archdiocesan Planning Commission assists the Archbishop with strategic planning initiatives and their implementation.
Future planning for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and individual clusters and parishes.
The Archdiocesan Building Commission meets regularly to assist the Archbishop with parish and institutional requests for new construction and renovation projects.
The Multi-Parish Ministry Institute is designed for parishes looking for ways to work more closely together.
Register now for the second set of sessions that are scheduled for September 12, 2017; November 28, 2017; and January 16, 2018. Each session is held at the Archbishop Cousins Center, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch is included for each session.
