Training Video: "A Call to Serve: Ministry, Mission and Method"

This clip from the new video overview of parish leadership and service features Fr. Steve Lampe, assisting priest and former pastor at St. Joseph in Grafton and Professor of Scripture at Cardinal Stritch University.

In this video, Archbishop Listecki introduces councils, committees, and interested new members to the basics of ministry, mission and method.

  • Ministry - Fr. Steve Lampe, scripture professor at Cardinal Stritch University, highlights Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians on the qualities of Christian service.
  • Mission - Fr. Tim Kitzke, Vicar General for Urban Ministry, outlines the mission and the missionary spirit of the Church.
  • Method - Council leaders from around the diocese explain how the parish and diocese are organized to carry out the mission.

The video can be viewed in parts or as the essential overview for parish service. It is designed for use in groups or by individuals. The video is a perfect complement to print resources for parish leaders, such as Parish Councils Manual, Trustee Manual, and Commissions and Committees Manual. Training and formation for all involved in carrying out the mission of the Church are now at your fingertips on the diocesan website.
