Xaverian Missionaries
Group 18, Missionary Cooperation Plan 2021

“Work always with the same spirit as Christ, keep Jesus before your eyes. He is the model of all called to glory.” (St. Guido Maria Conforti, Founder of the Xaverian Missionaries)

Hi, I am Fr. Alejandro Rodriguez, and I am a member of the Saint Francis Xavier Foreign Mission Society, also known as the Xaverian Missionaries.

For over seven years, I have been working here in the United States, and it amazes me to see how many projects have been accomplished because of generous people like you. Faithful Catholic and non-Catholic men and women from all over the United States. Your generosity has allowed us to transform the lives of children living in orphanages.

Your generosity has provided medical assistance to many who otherwise would not be able to see a doctor, have food on their table, have something to wear, or get educated. Above all, your benevolence helped the Christian education of many and the spreading of the Gospel.

Confidently, I ask you three things:

  1. Pray for Vocations: we need new men and women who desire to leave everything behind for the good of God's people.
  2. Pray for Missionaries: because it is difficult to understand the ways of God, and there are many reasons to go astray in the missionary journey.
  3. Your Financial support: we need you! These are difficult times for everyone. Think of it, if you and I live in a society where things feel somehow unstable, imagine so many brothers and sisters who have nowhere near the security that you and I do.

Your help can allow us to help refugees in North Thailand.

The Karen refugees from Myanmar need shelter, food, medical assistance, and education. They also need to hear the Good News of Salvation.

“Hi, I am Fr. Tardelli from Indonesia. Currently, I am working in the northwest of Thailand in a place called Umphang. This is the library and English tutorial house that I have set up few years ago. I have been serving the Karen community in this area. As Xaverians we are called to set up the first Christian community. I would like to thank you for your great support, and you are most welcome to Umphang. You can join us in our missionary work and adventure. May God bless you!”

These are some of the ongoing projects:

  • To start a weaving cooperative in order to help families be self-sufficient,
  • English camps in Karen Rebel Territory, and
  • To establish Christian communities.

Your help can make an enormous difference in the life of these people. So, if you have a million dollars with you now, I will take it! No, I am just kidding. I invite you to be generous, to give simply so that others may simply live!

Thank you so much for your consideration. I want to extend my gratitude to the Archbishop, your Pastor, and the director the Mission Office for the opportunity to be here today. May God reward your kindness!

Misioneros Xaverianos
